Abstract The aim of this study is to evaluate different sections after successful filtering operations egarding; postoperative intraocular pressure. astigmatic ocular complications and visual acuity changes. Cataract incidence in glaucomatous population. cataract extraction after filtering operations. postoperative corneal astigmatism after cataract extraction and methods of calculation of the surgically- induced astigmatism were reviewed. The study included 36 patients. 17 males and 19 females. with successful filtering operation (trabeculectomy in 32 patients and iridencleisis in 4 patients) presented with cataract. The age ranged from 51-75 years with an average age of 63.5 years. The interval between filtering surgery and the presentation with cataract ranged from two months to 20 years with an average of 5.64 years. The patients were classified into three groups A.B & C according to the type of cataract section performed (12 patients in each group); group A to which a clear. |
