Abstract The aim ot this work is to study the value of plain radiography in the diagnosis of cases of low back pain and to find out the relation between the clinical and radiological manifestations. The material ot this work comprised 86 patients with low back pain selectedrarbomly from the O.P. Clinic of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Mansoura University Hospital and the O.P. Clinic ot Mansoura Chest Hospital. Their ages ranged from 15 to 77 years , 47 were males and 39 were females. The patients were divided into the following groupS :- Group It Comprised 21 cases of lumbar disc prolapse diagnosed clinically and confirmed by mwe-lography. Group IIt Comprised 35 cases with the clinical criteria and radiological evidence of lumbar spondylosis. Group lIltComprised 10 cases with spondylolisthesis or spondylolysis. |
