The animals of group I (eight rabbits) were given a single oral dose of Praziquantel. group II animals (eight rabbits) were given an oral dose of oxiquine for 3 successive days. group III (four animals) were used as control. Two treated animals from each of the group I and II with a corresponding control one were sacrificed 1, 2 , 3 and 4 weeks after the last dose. At each ’time, some specimens were prepared for paraffin sections and stained by Haemntoxylin and eosin, PAS stain and Gomorra’s method for alkaline phosphates enzyme. Another specimen, were cut frozen and stained for pseudo cholinesterase enzyme. The control lactating mammary glands have nearly the same histological and histochemical properties from the first weak to the fourth week of lactation. |
