Abstract This thesis, which consists of four chapters, deals with paracompactness and some of its generalizations. In chapter I, we introduce the main concepts of paracompactness[of. 1-4]. indeed, paracompact spaces are the best known generalized forms of compactness. Commenting on the importance of this type of spaces, P. S. Alexandroff writes ”the class of paracompact spaces is very likely the most important class of topological spaces defined in recent years”. |
