Abstract The main object of this work is to obtain the probability density function (p.d.f) of the likelihood ratio (LR) test which was proposed by Neyman and pearson (1928) to cover the two cases : parametric and non parametric. We will consider the non parametric case for testing lognormality against gamma when the parameters of the two distributions are known, that is, testing simple hypothesis against simple alternative. |
