Abstract A total number of 121 sheep from different localities at Dakahlia Government had been subjected to this study, and classified into 4 groups. The 1st one was suffered copper deficiency, the 2nd one suffered zinc deficiency, the 3rd group suffered selenium deficiency while 4th group suffered iron deficiency. The selected animals was subjected to clinical and laboratory ( total and differential leucocytic count, SOD enzyme, phagocytic cell functions, elemental levels, toal protein, protein fractions and immunoglobulins). from this study it could be concluded that copper, zinc and selenium affect both cellular and humoral immunity while iron affects only cellular immunity without any effects on humoral immunity . Supplementation of these elements improved the immune status of sheep. |
