Abstract The objective of this study aims to investigate the possible parallelism relationship between biochemical, immunological and histochemical parameters using three different models of liver injury induced by CCl4, ethanol and iron. Also this work aims to follow up the three parameters at the same times at different intervals through the study for good correlations between them and to find a good biochemical fibrosis index which correlate with histochemical fibrosis score and using it as non-invasive marker for liver fibrosis. This correlation may be used instead of needle liver biopsy. For this purpose, male Spargue Dawley rats intoxicated by using three different types of toxins such as CCl4, ethanol and iron. Samples were collected from blood, liver and spleen tissues at different intervals, at 24 and 72 hours and at week, 4 weeks, 8 weeks and 12 weeks. Rats were classified into four groups according to the type of toxin used. |
