Abstract

Study the bad effect of epilepsy o pregnant rats treated with lamotrigine and valproate to study there effect on pregnant rats and their newborn we found that all the treated group showing some bad effects. Effect on pregnant rats:1-Decrease body weight if compared with the control.2-Degeneration of the liver cells and showing pyknotic neuclei.3-Degeneration of the renal tubule of the kidney.4-Degeneration of myocardial fibers.5-Degeneration of cartilage cell in the epiphysis of femer bone.Effect on newborn:1-Decrease body weight, size and crown rump length.2-Histopathological effect on eye, liver, kidney and heart.
