Abstract In vitro propagation (Tissue culture) is modern method for vegetable crops propagation to over come many problems associated with a means of the transmission of plant pathogens by using seeds propagation- Also, production large number of plants in a given short time and any time of the year. The researcher studied many factors which affected on shoots formation i.e cytokinin- explant type- active charcoal- GA3 and casein hydrolysate. The results obtained from this study indicate that for obtaining the best results when propagated tomato F1 hybrid California Rock by using tissue culture technique it must be :- *Culture the seeds in initiation stage on medium supplemented with 6 mg/l of TDZ or BAP since recorded the greatest values. Such as callus formation (100% to each type) , number of shoots (14.66 to each type) and the lowest roots(0.0, 0.66 respectively). * Sub- Culture the resultant callus on combination consist of 6 mg/l TDZ and 6mg/l 2ip which recorded the highest values as shoots number (32.66) and length (0.36 cm). |
