Abstract Because of the shortage of animal feed resources, many attempts were made for using agricultural wastes as novel feed ingredients in diet formulation for ruminants. Feed evaluations of these wastes is very necessary before using them. Also our conventional feed resources must be evaluated from time to time. For these reasons, it was the purpose of the present study to evaluate some feeds and wastes in Dakahlia Governorate (which could be used in animal feeding) with reference to effect of mycotoxincontaminated feeds on their in vitro digestibilities. The roughages studied here were: berseem hay, berseem straw, cotton stalks, field-bean straw, maize cobs, maize stalks, rice hulls rice straw, tomato herbage and wheat straw. Whereas the concentrates under investigation were belonging to commercial feed mixture, cotton seeds, cottonseed cake, cotton shed meal (undecorticated), field bean, rice bean, soybean meal, fine wheat-bran, coarse wheat bran, white maize and yellow maize. |
