Abstract D.C. Electrical measurements have carried out for the purpose of studying the effect of UV-irradiation on the conduction mechanism and relaxation phenomena of some polymeric films. It was necessary for this study to investigate the role of different parameters such as applied field, temperature and conditions of film preparation. The used polymers are polyvinylalcohole (PVA) and polyacry-lonitrile-butadiene (NBR), where the acrylonitrile content in (NBR) is either 28+1% (i.e., NBR-28) or 38+1% i.e., NBR-38). The sample thicknesses ranged from 0.003 to 0.05 cm. |
