Abstract The aim of the present work is to study the status of slinization under sprinkler irrigation system in the newly reclaimed sandy soils of the southern Tahreer Province. Results obtained reveal that the electrical conductivity values are generally increasing down through profiles. Elapsed time at which irrigation is progressed is greatly effective in the definition of salt movement through profiles. Close rotation along with temperature of summer season are effective in the behaviour of salt movement within soil profile particularly under the relatively high system of irrigation. Movement of ions is greatly dependent on the ion species. |
