Abstract
The surgical treatment oF the fractures of the spine is still a matter of debate. Harrington distraction rods had been used since nearly 3 decades In this thesis a comparative study between Harrington distraction rods alone and those supplemented with sublaminar wires was made to evaluate the added stability given by the wire and the possible complications.
