Abstract
The research undertaken was carried out during two successive seasons 1982 and 1983 to study the effect of Gibberellic acid and Ethrel on Sultani fig cultiver
fourty eight trees were selected to be of uniform
vigour, nine years old, 5x5 meters apart and grown under Minia Governorate conditions.
The following treatments were carried out :-
1- The first crop was sprayed with Gibberellic acid at 5,10 and 15 ppm on 27 May.
2- The first crop was sprayed with Gibberellic acid at 5, 10 and 15 ppm on 4 June.
3- The first crop was sprayed twice with Gibberellic acid at 5,10 and 15 ppm on 27 May and 4 June.
4- The first crop was sprayed twice with Gibberellic acid at 5,10 and 15 ppm on 27 may and 4 June plus 500 ppm Ethrel on 2 August.
5- The first crop was sprayed_wtth distilled water containing O.Oppm Gibberellic acid plus O.O ppm ethrel and used as a control.
6- The second crop was sprayed with Gibberellic acid at 5.10 and 15 ppm on 21 september
